Are you ready to contend?

Orienteering

You must use a combination of strategy, navigational skills, and athleticism to find and collect as many checkpoints as possible in the least amount of time.

Paddling

This obstacle is part of the Adventure Racing portion of the event. You must paddle to the floating control marker buoy, punch your card and return to shore.

Hurdles

Give your sore legs a break and beat up your sternum as you vault over these insidious hurdles. The height of the hurdles may vary from 3 to 5 feet. Participants must jump or pull themselves to the top using their arms and legs.

Balance Breaker

The balance beam may look easy, but don’t let it fool you. Traversing the stump jump, loose logs and slanted ramp will put your balance skills to the test. There are no hand holds on this one, so make sure you practice your balancing act before event day.

Confidence Climb

Now you can have your cake and eat it too! Well, that is, if you can make it to the top of this 9-ft cable spool cake. Ring the bell at the top and get rewarded with a savory slice of cake on the other side.

Rope Climb

Just like in gym class, this obstacle requires to climb along a rope to reach the top. You can expect to climb 12 to 16 feet high. The size of the ropes are approximately 1.5 inches, made of manila and twisted poly-dac polyester fiber.

Over-Under-Through

Also called O-U-T, this is a 3-part obstacle that involves first climbing over a 6-wall, then crawling under a second wall 2 feet off the ground, and then squeezing through a window in the final structure.

Hill Climb

100 meters of leg burning, anaerobic mayhem. We'll admit, hill climbing is tough! But, with the right mindset, grit, and training, you can conquer Widow Maker Hill like a pro.

Log Carry

You will carry a log over 150 meters. The log must be carried and not dragged through the terrain. The weight of the logs can vary. Typically, however, the logs are around 30-35 pounds for the men and 20-25 pounds for women and 50-55 pounds for a team of two.

Hercules Hoist

he Hercules Hoist is a strength obstacle that also requires lots of grips. A heavy sandbag is tied to a rope, which is fixed to a pulley, and the participant must pull the weight from the ground to the top. The Hercules Hoist weight is around 75 pounds for men and 50 pounds for women.

Lake Crossing

120 feet of refreshing goodness. Though the water is roughly waist deep, we've added a 1" rope to help you across. Please, no diving is allowed in the water.

Mud Crawl

A puddle of mud is an inconvenience. A 30 foot section of a net covered marsh is a privilege. We've given you very little space between the ground and the netting. Grab a friend, because mud hugs are contagious.

Creek Run

You’ll be tromping 200 feet through a natural spring fed creek, slick mud and a steep embankment. Start high stepping your way through this murky obstacle.

Teeter Totter

This isn't your average playground seesaw. This obstacle consists of a long, narrow board supported by a large cable spool designed to test your balance and coordination.

Slip Wall

The Slip Wall is a giant 45-degree wall with a rope attached to the top. The wall will be slippery from all the mud, and therefore the rope will be a great help to climb. Once you reach the top of the wall, you must use your arms to pull yourself over. The Slip Wall is 16 long.

Watch Now

Not your average monkey bars...

The gorilla line includes unique obstacles like ball holds, traverse rings, monkey net with the classics such as the monkey bars, ring holds and a slack line.

Net Climb

This a-frame net obstacle is 12 feet in the air, so don’t get tangled in the gnarly mesh. Get ready for a great view at the top of this structure. The hardest part is coming down.
