The Contender is an adventure like no other. It's more than just an obstacle course. It's a community built on teamwork, personal growth and unforgettable experiences.

  • What makes the Contender unique?

    An experience like no other: The Contender is a hybrid OCR. Meaning, we've combined the best elements of both Obstacle Course and Adventure Racing. The result is an adventure that involves strategy, community and determination. Check out our General Information page to learn more about our course design.

  • Is the Contender an individual or team event?

    Both! Participants can join as individuals or teams. There will be plenty of Contenders on course to help when needed. From the start line experience through the last obstacle you will have many new friends willing to lend you a helping hand where needed. Register Now

  • Is this for me?

    Virtually anyone with heart, determination and a never-quit attitude can complete a Contender event. Obstacles were designed to be challenging, rewarding and fun. How easily the event is completed is determined by your physical condition.

Everyone has someone who has been affected by mental health challenges. By participating in the Contender, you are telling the people in your life that their mental health matters and deserves support. 15% of your registration fee goes toward supporting this cause.

  • Let's talk about registration

    How do I sign up?
    Visit our Registration page to sign-up as an individual or team. Early-bird registration (lower entry fee) ends March 1st. However, registration will continue up to 30 minutes prior to the event start time.

    What does the registration fee include?
    Entry fee includes race t-shirt, finisher medal, award (where applicable). Additionally, 15% of your registration fee goes toward supporting individuals battling mental health issues.

    Can I create a team?
    Yes. And, creating a team is simple! Visit the Registration page and select, "Team" from the drop down menu. Click, "+ Add Team Member" to add additional team members.
